A segment from a recording of the Northern Virginia Music Center at Reston's 25th concert of the 1970 Concert Series at the Lake Anne Plaza. This segment begins with the orchestra's playing of the Star Spangled Banner and an introduction of the opening number, "Fanfare for the Common Man" by Aaron Copeland, and the conductor, Dr. Arlo Diebler, by an unidentified woman. After the piece the woman announces to the audience that the Northern Virginia Music Center at Reston will be traveling to Switzerland in August of 1971 and asks for donations. Segment is 6 minutes, 47 seconds in length.
