Description

Peter McCandless was a public relations officer for Robert Simon's original Palindrome Corporation during the mid-1960s and returned to serve as Vice President of Public Relations for Gulf Reston, Inc., during the 1970s. He later formed his own firm which worked with Mobil Oil’s Reston Land Corporation. The majority of the materials in the collection are from the Reston Land Corporation and include correspondence, awards given to Reston, project reports, news clippings, press releases, and marketing and promotional material. Collection comprises 16.75 linear feet; 34 boxes.
